Geng Xue (b.1983) was trained at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts and received her MFA in 2014. Geng Xue’s artistic practice is centred around establishing a balance between traditional techniques and contemporary sensibilities. She has exhibited at the 58th Venice Biennale China Pavilion in 2019, and the 21st Sydney Biennale in 2018. Most recently she had a solo exhibition at Zhuzhong Art Museum in Beijing in 2019. Geng Xue’s works are in the collections of major institutions including M+ Museum, Hong Kong; The National Museum of Wales, UK; The Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics, Netherlands; Miro Museum (Fundacio Joan Miro), Barcelona, Spain; Seto City Art Museum, Japan; and White Rabbit Collection, Sydney.
